I host this poetry salon monthly at my space in downtown Salt Lake City, Poetry on Main. I do this in collaboration with local and international artists in an intimate setting. We are Poets and Musicians with a Purpose of giving back to the community. A portion of the proceeds for each event is donated to a women's shelter in Utah. Whenever possible, we help fundraise for a nonprofit serving vulnerable populations in Haiti.

Did You Know?
Starting in 2023, RELAXATION THROUGH VERSE Poetry Salon will be held quarterly in April, August, and December during a weekend long retreat with Poet & Chef, Michaëlle, The Caribbean Nightingale. The Retreat will include Poetry, African Drum, and Music Workshops that last 30-45 minutes each. Workshops are taught exclusively by our Relaxation Through Verse cast. In the past, The Caribbean Nightingale has hosted our Poetry Salon at various quaint artistic venue in Salt Lake City that were either, Black-owned, woman-owned, or a community nonprofit. Special Thanks to our Past Venue Hosts: DuVin Pintor (Black-owned), Art Access Utah (Nonprofit Art Gallery), and La Cocina Caribena (woman/immigrant owned). Starting in 2023, the 2-day retreat will be catered by The Caribbean Nightingale and by local chefs of African descent. In addition to a performance, there will be Afro-Caribbean brunches, Poetry, Dance, and Music Workshops facilitated by RTV cast members and other guest artists.
