Tonight's breeze transports her feathers
Back in time to her Caribbean land
Where her smiling mother,
With arms open as wide as the ocean,
Welcomes her sons and daughters
To flavorful homemade cooking,
Animated storytelling,
Kitchen poetics and antics,
And laughter's high operatics!

That the heart always finds its way?
Is it real what I see,
Feathers can sail at sea?
